Then we drive along Marsyangdi river valley, Annapurna conservation area, Tal Valley etc. enjoying picturesque scenarios along the way to our final stop of the day at Dharapani.

The trail from Dharapani to Chame is a combination of dirt paths, stone steps, and narrow trails that transition through lush forests alongside the Marsyangdi River and scenic valleys. This trek offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks (Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, Tilicho Peak etc.), dense forests of pine and rhododendron, waterfalls and traditional villages. While the distance is not overly long, there is a significant gain in altitude. Trekkers will ascend gradually and the altitude gain can be noticeable.

The trail from Chame to Upper Pisang follows ascends gradually through the river, passing through picturesque forests of pine and juniper, terraced fields, and traditional villages. With some rocky and uneven sections, there are occasional steep ascents and descents as you approach Upper Pisang, showcasing a blend of lush forests, beautiful waterfalls, and towering mountains. While the distance is not long, there is a noticeable gain in altitude as you ascend to Upper Pisang. Along this trail, you'll have the opportunity to experience the culture of the Manangi people, who inhabit the region.

The trail from Upper Pisang to Manang passes through pine forests and high alpine meadows. You'll trek along the northern side of the Marsyangdi River with well-marked paths and occasional rocky sections. There are some gradual ascents and descents along the route and during the trek, you'll pass through several traditional villages and settlements. The region is dotted with Buddhist monasteries and chortens (stupas). The trail offers opportunities to witness traditional farming practices, encounter local wildlife, and experience the serene ambiance of the Himalayas.

Today it’s your day 6 of trekking where you will be hiking for approx. 6-7hrs toward Ice Lake which is situated at an elevation of approximately 4,600 meters (15,092 feet) near Manang in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is a stunning glacial lake surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks where you can enjoy Annapurna range and the surrounding Himalayan landscape. The trail from Manang to Yak Kharka ascends gradually through alpine terrain while trekking along Marsyangdi River Valley, passing through meadows, scrub juniper forests, and rocky landscapes. The trail offers panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, including Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak. As you ascend higher, the terrain becomes steeper and more rugged. The landscapes transition from lush forests in lower elevations to alpine meadows and barren hillsides as you approach Yak Kharka. The region is known for yak herding, and you may encounter yaks grazing in the high-altitude pastures.

The trail from Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi ascends steadily towards the Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit trek. The trail conditions can vary, with sections of well-defined paths and rocky, uneven terrain.
